                                                             Sabudana Wada

Sabudana Vada from Maharashtra in western India is a great snack and goes particularly well with hot Masala Chai (spiced tea)! Saboodana vadaa is the one of the food items which is savored during Navratri vrats.

Prep. Time: 5-7mins

Frying Time: 15-20mins

1 cup Sago (sabudana)
2 cups mashed Potatoes, boiled and mashed
1/4 cup Roasted peanuts, coarsely ground
3 Green chillies, finely chopped
2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
Salt  to taste
Oil  to deep fry

Soak the sabudana, in enough water to cover it, for about two hours. Drain off excess water. Mix together sabudana, mashed potatoes, ground peanuts, chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, lemon juice and salt. Mix thoroughly. Divide into sixteen lemon sized balls, flatten between palms of your hands. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry wadas in hot oil till golden brown. Serve hot with chutney of your choice
